Summary: Wow. Neal is a knowledgeable, passionate, and animated educator. My whole family really enjoyed this tour. Neal took us through history from the 1600s, when Harlem was home to native people, up to the recent decades of hip hop where stars rose literally from the streets of the neighborhood. Most of the tour centered around the Harlem Renaissance - Neal took us to many of the most famous landmarks throughout including the Apollo. I've been in New York for 2 years and this was a really great way to learn a lot about the significant role Harlem played in New York history.
